Noah's Return

Noah's Return

Chilled drops of Water like ice on my hand

Rain borne on clouds from far unseen land

Jewels on my window bring traces of love

Umbrella mushrooms so small from above

Sheltering feathers under my eaves

A white dove brings hope with life giving leaves

Rain plays drums on my wooden shed

Rain makes floods to float me to bed

Rain feeds young roots and softens the bread

Rain feeds the fish with something to dread

Rain burns the leaves takes life from the trees

Rain carries crimes from the land to the seas

Now that the ice melts into the sea

Plenty to drink for you and for me

To flavor our throats then bring our hearts down

Pamper our hunger in comfort we drown

Water in Channels helps seeds in the sand

Sends life to the starving hope to the land

Rain plays drums on my wooden shed

Rain makes floods to float me to bed

Rain feeds young roots and softens the bread

Rain feeds the fish with something to dread

Rain burns the leaves takes life from the trees

Rain carries crimes from the land to the seas

The dove was sent out to bring signs of land

Rain came before to take woman and man

Each cycle will end with a freeze or a flood

To wash away wars on innocent blood

Reign on our children for you we must pray

Keep us good to your earth till the rain comes to stay
