Zacron and John Kiki celebrate the opening of Kiki's Studio in Yarmouth in 2006

The two artists had originally studied at the Royal Academy Schools fron 1964 to 1967.

Kiki quickly established an international reputation as a painter and continues to carve a

path with great vitality with a fluid linear style, combining folk, circus, carnival images.

Kiki also uses fabric collage to make areas of dynamic colour and pattern, his highly active

painting process stands alone and powerfull amidst the plethora of visual styles in the

gallery scene.

During the opening of the studio, Zacron attacked the cleaning room beneath the studio

and used material he found to construct two costumes that were worn by the artists.

It was proclaimed that the costumes were made as special devices for the viewing of

John Kiki paintings!

The photograph, presented to Kiki in 2008 was reworked to have the fluid painterly

texture of Kiki's work.
