Water colour - Rapture - stage two

In stage two the foreground is laid in using blue.

The trees are left white for a second working either in blue or in

a second colour.  The use of one colour creates a sense of continuity,

an underlying monochrome.

Even at this early stage a variety of structures can be controlled

using tone to make areas of shadow.  It is important to control the

overall composition should you want to keep a sense of balance,

and to visualise how the remaining areas will interact with the

foreground.

The challenge is to create a visual language that continually explores

new areas as a part of your own personal journey.
